The Kansas City Missouri City Clerk’s office yesterday released an official notice stating the Save The Paseo grassroots organization had garnered the required number of signatures on their initiative petition.
After nearly a year of debate, Kansas City council members vote 8-4 to change the name of The Paseo Boulevard to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
The ordinance to rename the Paseo has been hotly debated during Council Legislative Sessions with the result being the same: holding the ordinance to allow additional public input.
Residents stated they will frequently see people walking down the roads of their neighborhoods with shopping carts full of scrap metal, frustrated that this is happening in their own backyards.
