Port Authority CEO Michael Collins is guaranteeing development will happen along the South edge of the Missouri River adjacent to Berkeley Riverfront Park.
According to an article published in the Kansas City Business Journal today, Collins said the Port Authority has “skin in the game”. That “skin” comes in the form of an investment of $5 million from the Port Authority on infrastructure improvements at the site.
The $65-million project is slated to be under way by this summer and will include both a residential component as well as a mixed use, business and commercial component. Also in the works, a riverfront hotel project near the Isle of Capri Casino. We’ll have more updates on this projects as they become available.
