Workers at Kansas City’s Harley Davidson plant IN THE Northland are once again on edge. The Motor Company is planning to shave roughly 170 workers from the local payroll in an attempt to make the work force more efficient. The number represents roughly 20% of the local workforce.

The last time Harley laid off workers was in May of 2013. The 400,000 plant manufactures the Sportster, Dyna and V-Rod line of Harley Davidson brands. Harley posted fourth quarter 2014 earnings of 15%.
