Branton/Hall Community Collaborator Award
In addition, the conference honors one individual each year who has driven meaningful change through civic, corporate and community engagement with the Branton/Hall Community Collaborator Award. This year’s awardee is Alvin Brooks, a lifelong advocate for community welfare, who has dedicated decades to public service, civic leadership, and crime prevention. As the founder of the AdHoc Group Against Crime and a former Kansas City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem, his influence has shaped policies that continue to impact the city today. Recognized nationally for his work, Brooks remains an active force in advancing education, civil rights, and public safety.
