If you have Veterans Day free, admission to the National World War 1 Museum — and all of the Museum’s Veterans Day events — will be free to the public.

The Veterans Day public ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Museum’s J.C. Nicholas Auditorium. Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, Mayor Sly James, Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander and Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders are expected. Brigadier General John S. Kem will present the keynote address.

The National World War I Museum will be open free to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To accommodate expected high Veterans Day attendance, free parking and a shuttle service will be available from the West Yards Garage at Union Station.
