Thousands of people gathered in and around the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport for last weekend’s Kansas City Aviation Expo and Airshow. The event featured the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and many of the world’s top aeronautical performers including Sean Tucker, Jacquie B., Mike Goulian, Trojan Phlyers in loud, low-flying aircraft that circled the Kansas City skies. The airshow is produced by, and benefits the not-for-profit Mid-America Youth Aviation Association, which provides educational aviation and aeronautical opportunities for area youth. Guests were also able to buy military merchandise and see jets up close.
