KANSAS CITY – Kansas City Police officers responded to a shooting on the 4400 block of Scarritt Avenue Friday night, just past 11pm.

Upon arrival, police found a teenage boy inside a residence, suffering an apparent gunshot wound. EMS responded and declared the teenager dead at the scene.

Police say detectives are conducting interviews of individuals who were at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the death.

They are not looking for any suspects at-large at this time.
