Kansas City Missouri Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the motorist who struck a pedestrian near Hardesty and Smart Avenues yesterday evening around 8pm, leaving the victim with life threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the intersection and found the victim laying in the street. It was determined that he was either crossing or standing in the street near the east curb of Hardesty when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. That vehicle then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. Anyone with any information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474 TIPS (8477)
