Kathryn Louise Topi, 103, passed away on August 2, 2023, at her home of 78 years.

Kathryn was born October 21, 1919, in Wellington, Mo., to the late Fountain and Nonie Blair. She was a lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas City and was a 1938 graduate of Northeast High School.

She married John A. Topi on June 22, 1946, following his return from WWII, and they enjoyed the next 55 years together until his passing in 2001. Kathryn enjoyed sewing and attending army reunions with John. She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish where she served as recording secretary for the Altar Society well into her 90’s.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter Patty; her great-granddaughters Alayna Kathryn and Aleecia Jolynn Giangalanti; and her brother Reldon Blair. She is survived by her daughter Becky Wilson (Randy); and her grandchildren Jason Kroner (Melody) and Amy Giangalanti (Jack).

Visitation was held on August 21 at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Interment: Mount Washington Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at passantinobros.com.
