Kansas City, Mo. – UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Agricultural Organization) Creative Cities Kansas City and The Northeast News have entered into a strategic media partnership to showcase the important work UNESCO is doing in Kansas City and to insure Kansas City’s Historic Northeast community, one of the city’s most diverse communities both culturally and ethnically, is engaged on all levels.

Through this partnership, the Northeast News will provide UNESCO sponsored content across its print, podcast and social media platforms making Northeast News the official media partner of UNESCO Creative Cities Network Kansas City.

“Our partnership will allow us to engage the heart of the largest and most diverse populations of different cultures and ethnicities,” said Anita Dixon-Brown, Executive Director of UNESCO Creative City KC. “With The Northeast News, we’ll reach those populations from Africa, Asia and the Americas, to let them know what the city is offering leading up to the 2026 World Cup activities in Kansas City.”

Watch the pages of The Northeast News in the upcoming weeks for more information about UNESCO Creative Cities sponsored events at various venues across the city.
