Sonny was born in Kansas City, Mo., on October 27, 1938. He passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 84 years. Sonny will forever be known as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Sonny was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. At age 18 he enlisted in the US Army, served one term while stationed in Germany 1956-1960. He then married the love of his life, Dorotha (Dottie). Sonny joined the welding union in 1964. Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, beer, and most of all, being present with his growing family. He was known as a barbecue master, prankster and jokester; always joking with everyone around and pulling pranks on his grandchildren.

Sonny was preceded in death by his mother Verna, father Homer, daughters Dede and Tammy, and sisters Gail and Pris. Sonny leaves behind his wife Dottie, son Corkey, grandchildren Andrea, Jeremy, Paige, Corey, Amanda, Chelsea, Aerica and Shelby. Great- grandchildren Josiah, Ieremias, Jonathan, Aerie, Dayton, Jerren, Jamison, Addilynn, Elliana, Irving, Bailey, Bentley, Gabby and Brandon.

Sonny was a major staple for his family and will forever and deeply be missed by his family and friends.
