Over the past Summer The CID planted thirteen flower beds and planted 128 flower pots, and 38 trees.
The CID removed illegal graffiti tags from the infamous Independence Avenue low-clearance bridge and have plans for new mural work.
The Alley Reclamation Project transformed a crime-ridden alley into a flourishing one with native plantings and repurposed tires.
The CID’s Alley Reclamation Project, located just north of The Avenue between Indiana and Bales Avenues, was completely transformed by local artist Brian Mapes (aka Become More). This can now become a thriving space thanks to Brian’s “ALLEY ART”: Pulling Weeds of Despair & Planting Seeds of Hope.
Crime: Four Corners with Titan & Quarterly Meetings
Crime deterrence continues to be the primary responsibility of our Titan Security Avenue Angels. Over the course of 2023, the top five issues in terms of incident reports were Disorderly Conduct, Loitering, Suspicious Parties, Trespassing and General Observation.
The Four Corners Community Call takes place every Friday afternoon at a different CID property every week, and it has become increasingly popular thanks to a partnership with The Northeast News.
