KCPD Officers try and determine what exactly led up to a shooting at the Fast Stop at Independence and Topping

This afternoon just before Kansas City, MO Police Officers were called to the Phillips 66 Express Stop at 5712 Independence Avenue on the call of a panic alarm. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
