11/18: Thacher School Memorial dedication, 11:30 am at the Thacher School site, 5008 Independence Avenue. Event includes speakers and the burial of a time capsule filled with documents and artifacts related to Thacher Elementary School’s 100+ year lifespan.

11/18: Employers, Job Referring Agencies Job Fair, (un-job fair) 4-6 p.m., Northeast KC Chamber offices, 2657 Independence Blvd. Employers and Agency job placements, connecting the people with jobs to the people with people. 

11/20: Holiday Pop-Up at the EGG (2659 Independence Ave.) from 10-4 featuring local artists and musicians supporting a great cause! Bring a canned food donation to be entered into our artists raffle and win great prizes from local artists! Get all of your holiday shopping done in one place while supporting your community! 11/20: State Sen. Barbara Anne Washington (D-9) will be hosting a Town Hall to discuss youth violence on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Morning Star Community Center, 2411 East 27th St..
