Community crime meetings
Community members are continuing to meet every Wednesday at noon at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. The group brings neighborhood safety concerns together and forwards them to the police department. All are welcome.

Teen Hip Hop Academy
Every Wednesday beginning at 4:40 p.m., Jeremy and his crew from Hip Hop Academy host this free event at the North-East Public Library, teaching creativity to youth through the positive elements of Hip Hop culture. Valentine Art Attack Workshop
Impress your sweethearts this Valentine’s Day with handmade gifts! Kids will have fun designing their own unique Valentine’s Day cards and gifts for friends and family. The workshop will be held Saturday, Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mattie Rhodes Art Gallery, 919 W. 17th St., and is open to ages five through 12. Cost is $30. Sacred Heart
