Multiple streets in Kansas City will be closed this weekend for The North Face Endurance Challenge, which means Kansas Citians will need to find alternate travel routes.
Races will be held Saturday and Sunday with each race kicking off and ending at the Frank A. Theis Park, located at the corner of Volker Boulevard and Oak Street.
Saturday’s races start at 6 a.m. and will include a 50K, marathon and marathon relay and Sunday’s races will start at 7 a.m. and will include a half marathon, 10K and 5K. Approximately 400 runners have already registered.
The route runs from Theis Park through Brookside, the Country Club Plaza, Westport, the Crossroads, downtown and the City Market. A number of streets in Historic Northeast will also be affected.
