KANSAS CITY – KCPD officers were dispatched to a shooting inside an apartment building located in the 1100 block of Hardesty Friday, Jan. 11 at around 8:30 pm. The victim has been identified as Joseph Mason, 67, of Kansas City.

Mason was located inside the building suffering from an apparent gunshot would. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

There is currently have no suspect information for release.
