City Market is inviting the public to “Veg Out” this Saturday as part of the Farm to Table Celebration Series.
Veg Out will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Market, 5th and Walnut, Kansas City, Mo.
In addition to the normal fresh produce and other goods at City Market, attendees can look forward to a slew of events.
Patrons will be encouraged to get fit at the River Market CrossFit, which consists of four 30 minute workout classes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Bring your budding comedian to the Corny Kid Joke Contest to compete for a chance to tell a joke on 105.1 Jack FM. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. and contest begins at 10:30 a.m.
Other activities will include presentations on Heirloom tomatoes at 9 a.m., corn pollination at 9:30 a.m. and biodynamic farming at 10 a.m. The River Cow Orchestra will perform at 10:30 a.m.
