Progress is being made at the future community park at 9th and Van Brunt. Last week, a crew was busy smoothing out the cement for the walking trail. Other amenities will include an all-weather sports turf for the larger soccer field geared for tournament play, two practice soccer fields, a concession stand with rest rooms and an amphitheater for community events.
