KANSAS CITY, Missouri — How did VML celebrate VML Worldwide Foundation Day? With more than 2,000 employees in 25 VML offices around the world volunteering in their communities — including the Northeast — over a 24-hour period.
Roughly 50 volunteers from VML were led by Cliff Drive Corridor earthworker Brett Schoffner to clear brush along a roughly half mile stretch of walking trail above Cliff Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
VML is a global Marketing and Advertising firm that dedicates one day a year to community service projects. Volunteers from the Kansas City office partnered with ten different agencies across the city including the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Cliff Drive Corridor Management Committee for the work along the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway. Volunteers were also lending a hand at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Cultivate Kansas City (three locations: Gibbs Road Farm, Juniper Gardens and Longfellow Community Project), Heartland Habitat for Humanity, HappyBottoms Diaper Bank, Harvesters Community Food Network, KC Pet Project, the Police Athletic League (PAL), Shadow Buddies Foundation, and St. Mark Child and Family Development Center.
