Volunteers counted approximately 7,000 children at the 18th Annual Scare-It Halloween in Historic Northeast Oct. 31. Activities ranged from Halloween themed chalk art to fire spinners to a Ghostbuster and his Ecto 1.

For the Kansas City Museum’s Fairy Princess Costume Contest, 260 youngsters competed.
