KANSAS CITY, Missouri — City officials are advising motorists to use caution this weekend.
From 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure will affect traffic in the Central Business District south through Crown Center.
The following streets will be temporarily closed:
-Grand Boulevard, between Pershing Road and 18th Street
-18th Street, between Grand Boulevard and Oak Street
-Oak Street, between 18th and 11th streets
-11th Street, between Oak and Walnut streets
-Walnut Street, between 11th and 14th streets
-14th Street, between Walnut and Wyandotte streets
-Wyandotte Street, between 14th and 16th streets
-16th Street, between Wyandotte Street and Broadway Boulevard
-Broadway Boulevard/West Pennway Street, between 16th Street and Pershing Road
-Pershing Road, between West Pennway Street and Grand Boulevard
-Southwest Boulevard, between 20th and Broadway streets
-20th Street, between Southwest Boulevard and Main Street
-Main Street, between 20th Street and Pershing Road
Please observe caution and obey all posted detours, barricades and no parking signs in the race area. Police are prepared to allow motorists to cross the routes when they deem it safe for race participants.
