One person is dead after a shooting early Tuesday morning in Northeast Kansas City.

Police responded to a call of a reported shooting about 20 minutes after midnight in the 400 block of Denver Avenue.

Police found a male victim behind a residence suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

After being transported to a nearby hospital, the person was pronounced deceased. Three individuals of interest are in custody regarding the incident.
