Salvatore A. Fasone, 71, of Northeast Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital. Funeral services were held May 27 at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Sal was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo., to Tony and Mary (Tumino) Fasone. He was a graduate of Rockhurst High School and the University of Missouri-Rolla. He worked for Boeing Aircraft, Lake City Ammunition Plant, Farmland Industries, and Jesco Resources before he retired. He was an avid sports enthusiast and loyal Mizzou fan.
Sal was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Joey Fasone. He is survived by his wife, Candy Fasone; children and spouses, Anthony and Lynne Fasone, Jean and Joe Mike Fiorello, Mary Beth Fasone; grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Nick Pizzichino, Linda and George Lipari; and many other relatives and friends.
