KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City, Mo., Police Department and the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline are asking for your help identifying anyone involved in a recent Northeast area homicide.
The KCPD are looking for those responsible in the May 4, 2014, death of Alfadil B. Sabil at 110 N. White St. At around 10:20 p.m. on the early May night, officers were dispatched to the area for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived to find Sabil lying in the doorway of his apartment with gunshot wounds. Sabil was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
A witness told police a possible suspect entered the apartment building through the back door around when the gun shots were heard. The same individual was then observed running from the location with a gun.
Yussif Sabil and Abdel Karim Khatir, relatives of the victim, have added $3,000 of their own money to the existing reward, bringing the total possible reward up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
