Residents invited to provide feedback on Taxicab Code

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — City officials are inviting residents to provide input regarding a proposed ordinance change to Kansas City’s taxicab code.

According to a press release, the purpose of this proposed code change is to embrace new technology, protect public safety and level the playing field for all transportation services. Part of the proposed changes would rename the code from Taxicab Code to Vehicles for Hire Code.

Residents may review the proposed code changes and provide input online anytime between now and March 5, 2015, by visiting www.KCMOmentum.com. KCMOmentum.com is an interactive website that allows public input from the convenience of home, office or anywhere internet connection is available.
