The goal of the Share the Sun program is to reduce the energy burden for low- and moderate-income homeowners in Kansas City, Missouri through free and reduced-cost energy systems.

With solar panels, you can significantly reduce monthly energy costs and free up household funds for other critical needs.

Eligible participants own and occupy their own home, have a roof less than ten years old, have good sun exposure and minimal tree shading, and earn less than 80% of area median income.  After enrolling, the Share the Sun team will ensure eligibility and connect homeowners with Sun Solar, Share the Sun’s vetted solar installer.  Share the Sun plans to fund 20-30 installations for qualifying homeowners.
