For the first time in five years, the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., hosts its Community Curator Series at the museum. To kick off the event, a reception was held April 23 featuring a spread of appetizers. Attendees could also tour the museum’s new exhibit, “Ours to Fight For: Kansas City During World War II.” Hal Wart, history professor and author, led the discussion, giving a glimpse into life during the World War II era. Above, several Community Curator Series attendees check out the museum’s WWII exhibit which features domestic propaganda posters, artifacts pertaining to daily life in Kansas City during war time and adult and children’s uniforms from Kansas City families.
