KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Retired Northeast Postal Clerk Jan Gill has done it again. She’s hit the lottery.
Gill recently claimed a $50,000 Show Me Cash Jackpot prize in the Missouri Lottery. Gill won $20,000 last March off a Crossword Scratchers ticket.
“I looked at my phone, and I didn’t believe my phone,” Gill recalled. “I went to the computer and looked it up. Then I started screaming from the computer, ‘Pat! Pat! Get in here. You’ve got to see this!”
Gill and her brother Chuck are Northeast natives. She retired from the Northeast Post Office in 2010. On what her plans were for the cash, Gill said it would pay some bills and help finance a trip to the Professional Bull Riding Championships in Las Vegas.
