Twelve-year-old Aldair Cabrera eyes the prize wheel during the April 26 opening celebration of Mattie Rhodes’ La Chalupa Farmers Market, 148 N. Topping Ave. In addition to offering live entertainment and healthy snacks, Mattie Rhodes also gave tours of its community garden, “Jardín Júbilo.” Once an overgrown lot, the garden now features a decorative fence and multiple garden beds.
