One man is in critical condition following a crash early this evening.

The two vehicle accident occurred at Winner Road at the base of the off-ramp from I-435 northbound.

Investigation determined that a Yamaha motorcycle was eastbound when a westbound FedEx delivery truck executed a left turn in its path. The motorcycle struck the front end of the truck, ejecting the rider.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 30-year-old Independence man, was transported to an area hospital and most recently listed as critical. The FedEx driver was not injured.
