I am shocked and saddened that COVID-19 has killed more Americans than World War I. My family passes a WWI monument at the intersection of Budd Park Esplanade and Van Brunt on our evening walks. One side of the monument honors a dozen local soldiers who died in WWI. The other side bears a quotation from Teddy Roosevelt: “All daring and courage, all iron, endurance or misfortune, all devotion to the ideal of honor and glory of the flag makes for a finer and nobler type of manhood.”
What would President Rosevelt think of Donald Trump’s manhood? Donald Trump dodged the Vietnam War because his feet hurt. Donald Trump hides in a bunker when he gets scared. Donald Trump tear gasses protesters when he wants to take pictures with an unopened Bible. Donald Trump refuses to declare Black Lives Matter while cops continue to murder unarmed black people in broad daylight. Donald Trump played golf at his resort last weekend and takes no responsibility for the rising COVID-19 death toll. Donald Trump does not care if you live or die.
