The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is actively looking for a suspect in two recent cell phone store robberies – one of which was located near the intersection of Hardesty Ave. and Truman Rd.
The suspect entered a cell phone store located at the 5200 block of Truman Rd. at around 1:30 p.m. on June 12, pointing a black handgun at store employees, stealing money from the business and fleeing the scene in a vehicle that authorities believe to be a gray Ford Focus.
The suspect struck again on June 15, when he entered another cell phone store at the 2700 block of Van Brunt at around 3 p.m. Once again, the suspect pointed a black handgun at a store employee and stole from the business. This time, the suspect fled on foot.
After obtaining surveillance video, police have determined that the suspect is a black male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, standing roughly six feet tall and weighing 175 pounds.
