BREAKING: Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) officers dispatched at 7:15 p.m. this evening, Sept. 18 to the 300 Block of Maple Blvd on reported shots fired, according to a release from KCPD media unit.

The department received additional calls for service within the same area regarding sound of shots. While offers were en-route, the call was upgraded to a shooting involving two victims, according to the release.

Upon arrival, officers located two male victims in Maple Park — north of the original dispatch address — suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began performing life saving measures and ordered emergency medical personnel to the scene. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS, according to KCPD Media Unit. Detectives and investigators have identified the decendents as Jimmy Bowman (22) and Antonia Frazier (15).

This case is currently under homicide investigation. Detectives are canvassing the area to locate any witnesses to help determine what led up to the shooting. Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for any available physical evidence.
