Kansas City Police Department is continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred at Independence Avenue and Brooklyn.
Officers received a call about possible gunshots at 3:44 a.m. Thursday, May 19. Upon arriving at Independence Avenue and Brooklyn, officers located a male, who died from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim is described as a black male in his 20s. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and possible subjects of interest in the case.
