Some quick thinking and being in the right place at the right time may have saved a man’s life this morning.
East Patrol Capt. Jennifer Jones saw flames erupting from a home near 25th & Prospect, and rushed to the door looking for anyone inside. Seeing a man trying to escape the burning house, Jones quickly pulled him to safety with minor burns. The two-alarm blaze was reported at roughly 8am this morning at 2505 Prospect.
Capt. Jones was in the area because she had kids sit in her vehicle so they could stay warm while waiting on the school bus.
