The Kansas City, Missouri Health Department is hosting drive-through COVID-19 community testing.
Appointments are recommended due to the high demand for tests. Residents of Kansas City, Jackson County and Clay County can call 311 to schedule an appointment by 5 p.m. the day before the test.
All tests are free of charge, and residents do not need to have symptoms to be tested. Those wishing to be tested must be seven years or older.
On Wed., July 15, a testing site will be set up at Concord Fortress of Hope Church, 11050 Longview Pkwy., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This testing site is hosted in partnership with Swope Health.
On Thurs., July 16, Kellybrook Elementary, 10701 N. Eastern Ave., will host a testing site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This testing site is hosted in partnership with Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center.
On Mon., July 20, East High School at 1924 Van Brunt Blvd. is hosting a testing site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This testing site is hosted in partnership with KC CARE.
On Tues., July 21, Central High School, 3221 Indiana Ave., is the testing site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This testing site is hosted in partnership with KC CARE.
On Wed., July 22, a testing site will be hosted at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This testing site is hosted in partnership with Swope Health.
Clinic staff will use a swab to take a sample from inside the nose, which can be uncomfortable. There will be additional directions provided at the testing site, and physical distancing measures will be in place.
