A 48-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in the Monday evening robbery at Comfort Inn, 770 Admiral Blvd.
According to court records, Mark J. Washington ran out of the men’s restroom wearing a white shirt around his head. Washington warned he had a gun and demanded money from the lobby cash register. After taking $185, Washington ran north on Charlotte. Police arrested him near Pacific and Harrison after a witness from a nearby home alerted them that Washington was hiding on his porch.
Washington has been charged with first degree robbery and prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000/10 percent.
