KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Pandemonium ensued Friday morning at Independence Boulevard and Benton as construction crews cut through a traffic signal feed that apparently was buried only six inches under the asphalt surface. KCPD officers were summoned and promptly restored order to the intersection until the traffic signal feed could be restored. According to construction officials, the work will take roughly one month per corner. Motorists and pedestrians should be prepared for minor delays at the intersection through the summer months.
