Thirteen boys from Holy Cross Boy Scout Troop 80 joined seventeen boys and ten girls from St. Patrick’s Boy Scout Troop 96 for ten days of Boy Scout Camp at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Mo last week. Along with twenty-seven leaders from both Boy Scout Troops, the scouts spent their time at the scout reservation participating in fun, action-packed activities like hiking, swimming, outdoor cooking, campfires, patrol challenges, earning merit badges, helping each other, working together, keeping their campsite clean, performing kitchen duties in the mess hall, and advancing in their rank within the Tribe of the Mic-O-Say, an honor society developed by Kansas City’s Mayor, H. Roe Bartle, with the help of the Arapaho in Wyoming in the 1920s.

Welcome home, boys!
