KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Kansas City residents have more incentive to use shop and eat at businesses along the streetcar route.

The city, in partnership with the Kansas City Streetcar Authority, Visit KC and the Downtown Council, will be showcasing businesses and restaurants along the streetcar route with free parking, trolley transportation, and special prizes and promotions for customers. Perks for holiday patrons include:

• The Downtown Dazzle provides free holiday trolley rides through the entire downtown area — from the River Market to the Crossroads, while customers shop and dine in the heart of Kansas City.
• Free weekend parking is now available in the River Market, in the 300 Wyandotte Parking Garage.
• Improved parking maps for the Downtown and Crossroads area help make shopping and dining more convenient for customers.
• Use the “Open for Business” smartphone application featuring local prize give-a-ways and promotions.
