KANSAS CITY, Missouri — One man was arrested late Monday afternoon following a high-speed pursuit that began in Independence and ended in Northeast Kansas City.
The chase started shortly after 4 p.m. on Truman Road in Independence. The driver was wanted on a felony stolen vehicle charge. The pursuit lasted about 20 minutes before the driver was arrested near the intersection of Anderson and Lawndale Avenues in the Northeast. Kansas City Police assisted the Independence Police with the pursuit.
Kansas City Police blocked off the streets around the incident, but reopened them soon after again to the public. No one was injured in the incident, and there were no accidents.
