The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Greater KC Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for a recent hit and run in Jackson County.
On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at approximately 12:34am, two females stopped to take photos of their motorcycles under the Blue Ridge overpass on Truman Road. The motorcycles were placed facing each other, blocking the westbound lanes. The two females stepped to the east of the overpass to take a photo, and one female was struck by a small white, passenger vehicle that was traveling westbound on Truman Road. The passenger vehicle braked, but then fled the scene. It is possible the vehicle either turned right or left onto Stark Avenue.
