To the Editor:

I have lived in the Old Northeast for 31 years. Every year it’s the same big booms, firecrackers, bottle rockets and trash in the streets and yards.

The illegal use of fireworks continues… unstopped.

What would happen if we did not enforce the laws against alcoholic drivers? What’s the difference?

We are teaching our children to break laws.

What about the mess it makes in our yards, sidewalks and streets?

We need to increase the fines and enforce the no fireworks laws. These laws were enacted to prevent injury to people and damage to property.
