In honor of Black History Month, we are highlighting black individuals who make up our wonderful community.
This week, we sat down with Kenneth “Kenny” Lamb, a 12-year resident of the Indian Mound neighborhood and a circulation associate at the Northeast News. Lamb worked as a certified nursing assistant at the old Glennon Place Nursing Home and is a well-known individual here at the House of News. He works in our circulation department, making sure our readers receive news in a timely manner. He is also a United States Navy veteran, having served eight years at the San Diego Naval Station.
Lamb’s favorite part of living and working in the Historic Northeast community is the people and the history. “I love the old, rustic feel of the buildings. The places might look a little different but the history remains the same,” Lamb said. As for his gig at the Northeast News, Lamb likes the close-knit feel of the staff. “It’s like family here.” If you see Lamb out on a route, be sure to say hello!
