College tuition continues to increase, making it even more important to secure college scholarships.

To assist families and students in grades sixth through 12th, East High School will host a College Scholarship Workshop at East High School, 1924 Van Brunt Blvd. Kansas City, Mo., from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.

McDonald’s Corp. and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund are sponsoring the workshop, which will explain the process of applying for colleges and technical schools, as well as scholarship opportunities.

Families may register at www.hsf.net/workshops.aspx or by calling 1-877-HSF-1211. McDonald’s will provide breakfast and lunch to those who register.
