UPDATE: Kansas City Police have released the names of the two victims who died during a shooting Sunday in the Northeast.
Antonio Hernandez, 31, and Omero Garcia, 39, were killed in the shooting just after midnight Sunday near Thompson and Colorado Avenues. Three other people suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — A family gathering in the Northeast turned violent early Sunday morning.
According to information from the Kansas City Police Department, around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the area of Thompson and Colorado Avenues for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found five people had been shot, four of whom were transported to a nearby hospital. One victim was confirmed dead at the scene and one died a short time later. The other victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
