The Kansas City Museum held their 6th annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration Saturday, Oct. 19 complete with food trucks, live music by Mundo Nouvo, face painting, color-your-own calavera masks, a traditional ofrenda, and much more. Dia de los Muertos is a multi-day holiday where friends and family gather to remember the lives of those who have passed.
Guests were able to add the name of their loved one to the incredibly ornate ofrenda at the Kansas City Museum during the 6th annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. The ofrenda often holds pictures of loved ones who have passed and their favorite foods or treats while on earth.
