June 2, 1945 – November 24, 2023

Daniel “Danny” Lynn Couzens, 78, of Kansas City passed away on Friday, November 24 after a long illness.

Danny was born on June 2, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri.

After serving in the US Navy, Danny served in the Kansas City Police Department for twenty-five years in a support unit and as an instructor for the Motorcycle Department. He later worked for the Marshal Services at the US Federal Courthouse. Danny later retired and spent his remaining time on his hobbies.

In 1978, Danny met his wife Marilyn in Kansas City. He later married Marilyn and remained a devoted husband for the rest of his life. Danny and Marilyn were active in the Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood and often opened their home on the Historic Homes Tour. 

Danny was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Bill, and David, and a sister, Sandra. His wife, Marilyn, survives him, as do his brothers Larry and Norman, his sons Danny Lynn and David, his daughter Kristin and his two stepchildren Kelli and Chris. A number of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren survived him.
