Norman S. Russell, 98, passed away Oct. 7, 2012. Visitation was held Oct. 12 at Floral Hills Funeral Home followed by a funeral service and burial.

Norman was born Dec. 9, 1913. He was a member of the Masons and retired from Bendix.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Florence; brother, Lawrence; sister, Idella Giblin; and great-grandson Mario Anthony Naccarato. He is survived by two sisters, Juanita Jarboe and Mamie Cole of Cedar Vale, Kan.; four sons and their families, James (Donna) of Longmont, Colo., William (JoAnn) of KCMO, Richard (Deborah) of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Dennis (Kay) of Independence, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
